In addition to the popular summer holiday destinations of Spain, Portugal, and Greece and Turkey package holidays are now popular to long haul destinations such as Goa in India, The Red Sea, The Caribbean and the USA. Recently, all inclusive holidays have been introduced and are available in Europe and beyond.

Cheap package holiday deals have changed the way we take holidays
The advent of cheap holidays has changed the way we take holidays and many traditional UK seaside resorts have suffered as millions now take a package holiday (and often more than one package holiday) abroad each year. The development of package holidays now means a vast choice from cheap and cheerful deals to the Costa del Sol to Luxury package deals to remote Greek Island or the all inclusive holidays to the Indian Ocean and the Far East.

How to find a cheap package holiday offer
Cheap package holiday deals can be found at any time of the year but there are some simple rules of thumb to follow. Avoid travel on peak season dates when demand is greatest. While it is possible to pick up last minute or late deal on package holidays even at the height of summer, the rule of supply and demand applies. If large numbers of holidaymakers are travelling at the same time then the price of package holidays will remain high. Outside peak season dates (at the start and end of the summer season or outside school holidays) cheap package holiday deals are far more likely to be on offer. Christmas and New Year holidays are also popular dates and are unlikely to be discounted. Many holiday companies offer so called "free child places" but these sometimes make the total holiday cost higher. If you have to travel on certain dates, or have your heart set on a particular destination, the early booking of your package holiday is strongly recommended.

Cheap Package holiday variety grows
Package holidays are opening up new destinations and resorts each year. Aside from the growth in package holidays to tropical destinations, which are popular during the UK winter, new perhaps smaller resorts are becoming increasingly popular during the summer holiday months. Smaller Islands in Greece or quieter resorts in Spain and the rest of the Mediterranean continue to develop. As low season cheap package and last minute late package holiday deals become more available it is now possible for many to take more than one package deal each year, particularly if the school holiday or other busy dates are avoided.
